“ The Rex Seaside Steakhouse hosted our Top Producer Event for our agents here at Vista Sotheby's International Realty. From the beginning when we started planning with Taneel to the end of the event the customer service was out of this world. From the food, to the staff and I mean every single one of them, to the set up, to the special drinks...everything was amazing. If you haven't been to Rex don't wait go today! We couldn't have asked for a better experience and restaurant! We will definitely have future events there. Also the owner came out and introduced himself to us when we first went and the chief...amazing service! Thank you Rex and your amazing staff! “ We went to Rex Seaside for the first time last week and had such an amazing time. Everyone was so friendly and so very welcoming to us. The manager (I forgot her name sorry) but she came by and introduced herself, welcoming us to the restaurant. Next Aaron our waiter was beyond what we anticipated a waiter would be or do. Next was Connor who came by to say hello and introduced himself including the drink menu to us where I selected a mocktail earl grey drink that was DELICIOUS! EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING was AMAZING! So happy we found this gem. Definitely recommend this spot to celebrate any occasion or just a date night. Loved everything about Rex Steakhouse. Thank you everyone from beginning to the end of celebrating my husband's birthday. ”
“ Came here for a date with my beautiful girlfriend. Wanted to treat her to a nice romantic dinner after a hard work week. Safe to say this spot was the best decision I could've made for a reservation in the South Bay. Our server Chase W.was spectacular, accommodating, and had a nice sense of humor as well. Highly recommend coming here. Also, the food was top notch. We started with the octopus which was comparable to octopus I've had in Spain (they don't mess around when it comes to octopus). My girl had the 16oz Prime rib which was mouth watering. My entree was the short rib and I could eat it everyday, it's that good Once again, I highly recommend this place. P.S. the cocktails are a good call too (we got the paradise and the royal flush) ”
“ The Rex is one of the greatest restaurants in the South Bay. It's been one of my "Go To" spots for special occasions since The Admiral Risty closed. I love the food, I love the intimate size of the place, I love the service, & I love the drinks. I love the Rex Steak. I love the short ribs. It's all great. Take a pre (&/or post) feast stroll along the esplanade for sunset and make it an event. It's top notch, it's fancy, it's delicious. I eat generally on the 1st level; the 2nd floor is great for groups; 3rd level is a cool private club for smoking cigars. It's a great place - a really great place. I can't wait to go back. ... sorry, I was so busy loving it that I forgot to take pictures ”
“ One of my favorite restaurants! Everything is right with the world when eating at Rex, from Chef Walter's AMAZING offerings to the hospitality of folks like Aaron and Chase! For me, it's about a 45 minute drive to get there, but worth it as that porterhouse that melts in your mouth helps you forget your traffic woes. This is another nice restaurant where the music isn't blasting so you can really enjoy some great food and conversation over their cool, crafted cocktails and fine wine selections. They also feature delicious non-alcoholic selections for those who have to do the driving. In addition to some cozy indoor dining, The Rex has patio seating, so feel free to bring the whole crew. With the beach just a block away, the stage is set for a wonderful after dinner stroll as well. Thanks Chef Walter and thanks Rex! What are you waiting for? ”
“ The food, specialty cocktails and ambiance are phenomenal. CS was superb, pricing was a little high but it is Redondo Beach! Very clean, nice seating on second level for bigger parties. Parking could be tough but we did not have any problems, early on Christmas Eve. ”
“ We came here for my birthday because the kids had school so we wanted to stay in the area. They gave me the nicest birthday card I've ever received. It was so nice and personalized. Our server was amazing and she totally made the experience. Her energy and knowledge were top notch. We started with the tartare and Captain's Shrimp. The tartare was flavorful and fresh. My husband really enjoyed it. The bread was really buttery and crunchy and so good. Definitely an indulgence. If you order the Tartare don't order extra bread because it's the same one and the tartare comes with a lot of bread. The Shrimp were well seasoned and very fresh. It's not a shrimp cocktail, the shrimp are grilled and served with a side of cocktail sauce. The whole ribeye was much better than the little 3oz pieces on the tasting menu. Next time I would not order the smaller portions and instead would order a ribeye or filet. Will try the Wagyu as well next time. The sides were a hit especially the Mac n Cheese. So good. I could eat the entire dish. The desserts were just okay. Good but nothing to write home about. Kind of tasted like whipped cream. The coffee was good and the cup was so cute. Very different and chic. I'm so happy to have a steakhouse close to us instead of having to drive all the way to BH or even Manhattan Beach. For our next visit: -get a whole steak for more tender meat -don't load up on the delicious buttery bread -try another non-whipped cream based dessert ”
“ One of my clients rented this place for an anniversary function. We had a private rooftop room which was a great space for the celebration!! The menu for the event was fixed, but everything was so danged delicious!! Walking hors d'ouevres included yakitori beef (so stupidly tender!) and truffle caviar chips!! (whomever thought of these chips needs to be crowned!!!) once seated, we had hawaiian crudo (super fresh) and caesar salad and a kale salad and the most amazingly crusty grilled bread with seasoned butter! Dinner included rib eye (cooked to perfection), truffle chicken, and salmon. All of which were very good. On the side we had mashed potatoes, broccolini, and roasted mushrooms. Dessert was a strawberry pavlova - which i am normally not a fan of, but this i would eat regularly!! i really wanted to lick the plate! Everything we had was on the regular menu - and everything we had was delicious!! Service was friendly, efficient and impeccable! I would not hesitate to dine here, even without a group! The Rex gets 58 very solid thumbs up!!!! ”
“ Rex!!!! Love this steakhouse along redondo beach. I've come here for special occasions (christmas dinner, birthday dinners) and need to make it a more regular occasion! Food is super reasonably priced and large portions. Their appetizers are amazing and pasta. My favorite is their steak tartare which is only $23! The main attraction which is their meats could have a bit more to be desired but definitely scratches the itch. Portion is so large you can def split a single meat and other entre for two people. For four we had the two person meats and two entrees and still had leftovers. Don't forget to come here for your birthday for that nice birthday ice cream! We had Kyle who attended to us and he was the best. So sweet and such a gentlemen! ”
